ITEC@51

My assistant, Moi, with  Mr. A. R. Ghanashyam {indian High Commissioner} and a Guest.
ITEC is 51! This generous Economic Organisation which is almost an agemate of Nigeria's celebrated its 51st anniversary amidst the diplomatic circle and grateful participants who have benefitted from the training program benevolently sponsored by the Indian Government.
Established in September 1964, the Indian Technical And Economic Co-operation {ITEC}, has been extending a hand of fellowship to CommonWealth countries in Africa and Latin America in the areas of Technical, Technological, Economic, Environmental, Educational , Gender Issues and the Like.
Participants were full of adulation and commendation for the program as they narrated their experiences and expressed their profound gratitude to the Organisers of the program as well as to the Government and people of the Second most populous country in the world. Ranging from the Goodwill of the Indian Government, the dedicated and courteous staff of the various prestigious Institutes of learning to the Tourist Sites and diverse Culinary experience, it was unanimously acknowledged by all to be a most delightful experience .

Here we have Ms. Deborah, an Abuja-based Entrepreneur whose course in Entrepreneurship studies made available to her in Gujarat, India by ITEC, has duplicated her experience in Nigeria by conducting similar programs in Small-scale Business start-up and Management.

Another Participant, Ms. Cecil Egbele also related her amazing perspective  which helped to hone her skills in developmental journalism. She even carted away the most coveted prize of best Graduating student at one of their Institutes.
As a beneficiary of the same program of the March to June 2015 session during which I studied Advanced Course on Multi-media and Web Design Technology, I also have warm memories of my interactions with the  staff  of CDAC Institute, Mohali, Management and staff of Parkview Hotel, Chandigarh as well as the over 72 participants drawn from 32 countries. ITEC enabled us to build bonds of friendship across borders. It also provided a melting pot of ideas, exchange of programs, Knowledge and "Infotainment". This has definitely impacted upon and strengthened the ties among these countries in the global arena.

The event also showcased assorted varieties of Nigerian and Indian cuisine, Prepared by Ms. Anita of  Da chimney Restaurant, Ville Regent Hotel Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja.
